SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — No injuries, but extensive damage to The Barcode Bar and Grill in a fire Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock.
It took just 17 minutes for Sioux Falls Fire Rescue to get the fire under control. Fire crews remained on the scene for four hours to remove and fully overhaul smoldering in the metal roof deck.
There was extensive damage to the interior of the building due to heat and smoke.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 4:00 p.m. Metro Communications received a 911 call for a building on fire.
The first arriving fire truck reported heavy smoke coming from the roof of The Barcode Bar and Grill. Crews verified everyone was able to evacuate from the structure. Crews were able to have the fire under control within 17 minutes of arriving on scene. The fire impingement on the metal roof deck caused smoldering in the roofing materials which took crews 4 hours to remove and fully overhaul. There was extensive damage to the interior of the building due to heat and smoke. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded initially with 4 fire trucks, 3 support vehicles, and 21 personnel. It took 2 additional fire trucks and 8 personnel rotating through to assist with removing the decking material.
