SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Project Prison Reset task force are back at work, trying to reach a consensus on the site and cost of a new men’s penitentiary. Today’s meeting is the last scheduled, as the task force works on a set of recommendations for a special session of the state legislature. Committee member, Representative Greg Jamison of Sioux Falls toured two sites on the city’s northeast side with city leaders. He says those sites are more promising than locations near Worthing or Mitchell, which have generated community backlash.
