PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota was one of the first states to ban the use of TikTok. Now, it could be part of efforts to save the Social Media Platform in the U-S. TikTok faces the threat of being banned throughout the nation due to security concerns related to its Chinese owner. Rasner Media’s bid to buy and transform TikTok is being endorsed by Governor Larry Rhoden and leading business organizataions in the state. The Governor is urging President Trump to support the Rasner Media proposal, along with the State Retailers Association and the Chamber of Commerce. Rasner Media hasn’t decided on an operational location, but CEO Reid Rasner of Wyoming calls the South Dakota a strategic partner in the effort.
