SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Public Health Director Jill Franken says the COVID-19 pandemic has reached a “critical” stage in the area.
“We need everyone to do their part right now,” Franken told Bill Zortman on KELO Radio’s It’s Your Business. “It is quite critical actually that we get ahold of this and curtail the transmissions.”
Franken encouraged the Sioux Falls community to take safety precautions like wearing masks to slow the spread of the virus. She said some young adults, including some without any known underlying health conditions, have “become quite ill” after contracting COVID-19.
