SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A 23-year-old Sioux Falls man is accused of hitting his girlfriend and briefly kidnapping her and their little baby.
Police say that the woman was able to escape from the car, leaving the baby behind, but the man later dropped the child off at grandma’s house.
Brandon Asa Craig from Sioux Falls has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and other charges.
Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says this all started when the victim was at a friend’s house and the man entered in the 700 block of South Blauvelt Avenue.
Craig allegedly grabbed the woman and their 1-year-old child, forced them into his car, and took off.
