Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken was on national television – on CBS This Morning – pushing the importance of wearing face masks.
It’s a regional plea because the city’s hospitals are getting coronavirus cases from other states.
“I need you in northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska to being doing this as well because when your people get sick they’re winding up in my city.”
TenHaken told the reporter that he still hears almost daily from people who ask is the coronavirus a real deal, is this the biggest hoax ever?
This national plea from TenHaken follows the local plea he made earlier in the week to Sioux Falls residents to do a better job of wearing face masks.
Masks have never been mandatory for Sioux Falls residents, just highly encouraged, now more than ever.
The mayor of Fargo, North Dakota, recently imposed a mask mandate to stop the spread.
