SUMTERVILLE, FL (KELO.com) — American Indian Movement activist Leonard Peltier is a free man – released from prison yesterday in Florida. His life prison term for killing two FBI agents on the Pine Ridge Reservation in 1975 was commuted by former President Joe Biden. Peltier, now 80 years old and in poor health, is moving back to the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota where he grew up to live out his life in home confinement.
