Local residents scammed out of thousands of dollars

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are warning against scam calls that have cost several residents thousands of dollars.  Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says one individual lost over 11-thousand dollars to scammers posing as workers at local banks.

Clemens says if you’re at all suspicious, don’t give out any information over the phone.
