PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — On the surface, removing medical debt from consumer credit reports may sound like a good idea. But, it could create problems in the Banking industry according to South Dakota Bankers Association President Karl Adam. He says the rule, coming from the outgoing Biden Administration, would cover up important borrower information as bankers make decisions on loans.
Adam says the Banking industry is resisting the move, and is hopeful it will be overturned by the incoming Trump Administration.
