SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Despite a pause in fundraising because of COVID-19, the major expansion of the Sioux Falls Butterfly House & Aquarium still appears on schedule.
Capital Campaign Chair Michael Zuercher gave an update during the recent 8th Annual Wings and Waves Gala.
“We are at 4.7 million out of our goal of 7.8 and we feel like we are on a really good path as soon as the time to unpause comes.”
Zuercher said that he is optimistic that the project can be completed by the fall of 2021.
The architect, TSP, Inc., shared the latest renderings of what the re-made aquarium could look like.
This expansion project has been six years in the dreaming and making stage.
