SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Ridership is up, and the riders are happy. Two months after rolling out the “SAM Re-imagined Plan”, Sioux Area Metro is celebrating some big wins. Mayor Paul TenHaken says it’s among the biggest advancements for the city of Sioux Falls this year.
The number of riders has increased by ten percent in the last two months, and there’s been a 77-percent increase in the number of job sites transit commuters can reach by using the system. SAM is purchasing four more vehicles for the on-demand service, which is growing in popularity.
