VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO.com) — Authorities say a deadly shooting earlier this year in Vermillion was justified.
Back in May Chase Kinchen was shot after allegedly forcing his way into a house illegally.
Officials say when he entered the home he violated a protection order barring him from contacting the homeowner.
Kinchen died of his injuries and an investigation was opened.
With the shooting now ruled as justified, no charges will be filed./
