SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The goal is to provide three-thousand thanksgiving dinners, and you can help. The Greg and Pam Sands Foundation is matching all gifts to Feeding South Dakota this month. Community Engagement Manager Jennifer Stensaas says that support will make a huge difference to thousands of families across the state.
Stensaas says a total of six-thousand families facing hunger will receive food for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Three thousand Thanksgiving meal packages will be handed out Saturday, November 23rd in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. The meal packages will be distributed at the W-H Lyons Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls Saturday, November 23rd. It’s first come, first served with no registration from 8AM to 10am, or until the food runs out. Another three-thousand meals will be distributed at food pantries and hot meal sites across the state.
