SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Army National Guard is off to the Mexican border again.
This time, it’s Southern California.
This past week approximately 50 Soldiers from the 109th Engineer Battalion left as part of a year-long Title 10 federal deployment.
Their mission is to provide logistical support for ‘Operation International Drug Trafficking’ .
They will be supporting Customs and Border Patrol agents while also providing direct support for two subordinate companies from Texas and Michigan.
