SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Senator Tim Johnson will be remembered by thousands of South Dakotans today. His funeral will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls at 10:30 Friday morning. Johnson served in the state legislature before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served five terms. He was then elected to the U.S. Senate and served three terms. Flags are being flown at half staff across South Dakota in his honor. Senator Johnson passed away last week from complications of a stroke. He was 77 years old.
