SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sales tax collections are declining in Sioux Falls, But the impact on the city budget doesn’t appear to be too severe. City Finance Director Shawn Prichett says sales tax collections are still running below budget projections, but that should be balanced out by higher revenues in other areas. Still, the lower sales tax revenues will have an impact on next year’s budget.
Prichett says other revenues are higher than anticipated, so the gap should be covered for this year.
