WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — The Federal Government just jumped on board a proposal to build a major jet fuel processing facility near Lake Preston. The Energy Department announced a conditional loan guarantee of about one and a half billion dollars for the GEVO Net-Zero One plant. The facility could produce up to 60-million gallons of jet fuel from corn annually. The plant is reliant on a proposed carbon capture pipeline project, which hasn’t been approved in the state.
