SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Penitentiary and Jameson Annex are still on lockdown, as they have been all week – and now we know why. Officials found a number of dangerous, illegal items while conducting a search, including weapons and items that can be used as weapons, and unauthorized electronics equipment. There were no assaults, fights or disturbances, and no staff or inmate injuries. Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko says the lockdown will remain in effect until the entire complex is searched.
