OMAHA, NE (KELO.com) — The Federal Reserve Board is cutting interest rates. The question is, did they wait too long? Creighton University’s monthly Rural Mainstreet Index is showing even weaker numbers than the economy in other parts of the nation. Creighton Economist, Dr. Ernie Goss.
Creighton’s survey shows a slight improvement in South Dakota’s economy in the past month, but it’s still in negative territory. Goss expects the Fed will cut rates again in November in an effort to get the economy going again.
