PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — A major victory today for South Dakota landowners fighting a proposed carbon capture pipeline. The High Court ruled against Summit Carbon Solutions – the company that wants to build the line, on the issue of invasive surveys of private land. Pipeline opponent Ed Fischbach says the Supreme Court didn’t stop there.
The ruling could also create problems for Summit in Iowa. Iowa regulators approved Summit’s request for a permit to build the line, but that approval was contingent on approval in the Dakotas.
