PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — They’re going after Ticketmaster. Attorney General Marty Jackley has joined the Justice Department and 40 of his colleagues in a civil antitrust lawsuit. The suit charges Ticketmaster with monopolization of live concert markets across the nation with threats and retaliation and other activities. Jackley says ticket prices are more expensive for South Dakotans and others because of Ticketmaster’s actions.
On another subject, the Attorney General calls it a victory over a federal bureaucracy that tries to take away individual rights. Jackley is praising a recent appeals court reversal of a federal ATF rule banning pistol braces. South Dakota was among two-dozen states that filed a suit against the rule last year. Jackley says the rule was an attack on the nation’s second amendment rights.
