SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — You may want to bring some change with you if you plan to park in downtown Sioux Falls in the evenings and on weekends. The first area of change may be in the updated “Phillips to the Falls” area, especially as new facilities like Jacobson Plaza are approaching completion. City Finance Director Shawn Prichett briefed City Councilors on the topic in budget hearings. He also said the idea of expanding enforcement hours of downtown parking meters is under consideration.
Prichett says downtown residents are currently using high-value parking spots during those hours. He says they could still park free by using the ramps that are available in the downtown district.
