SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Budget season has arrived at Sioux Falls City Hall, and leaders are keeping a close eye on the numbers. Inflation and high interest rates are taking their toll. This year’s budget was built on an assumption that sales tax revenues would grow by four-percent. City Finance Director Shawn Pritchett says the actual numbers are lower than that.
As those facts sink in, City Councilors are about to dive into building next year’s budget. Mayor Paul TenHaken gives his annual Budget Address tomorrow.
