SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Democrats are pulling together to support Vice President Kamala Harris to move to the top of the ticket. South Dakota Democrats have joined in, with delegates voting unanimously to back her bid at next month’s Democratic National Convention. State Party Executive Director Dan Ahlers calls it a natural progression that has broad support in the party.
President Biden announced his withdrawal from the race under pressure on Sunday. Vice President Harris already has secured enough delegate commitments to receive the official nomination.
