YANKTON, SD (KELO.com) — Floodwaters are dropping…but they’re still dangerous. The Big Sioux River has dropped by about six feet at North Sioux City. The Missouri River is down by just more than a foot. Still, there’s plenty of danger, and Governor Kristi Noem is warning onlookers to stay out of the worst areas.
There are similar problems in the Sioux Falls area. City officials have closed parks along the river until they can be inspected for safety.
