PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Most of the roof of South Dakota’s State Capitol Building in Pierre– with the exception of the copper dome– is getting replaced this summer and fall.
Leah Haugan is the Special Projects Coordinator for the South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources and Administration.
She says the current roof is over 45 years old.
The project is expected to be completed in November 2024.
