SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — It will be South Dakota’s first time hosting Olympic trials. Sioux Falls Sports Authority President Thomas Lee made the big announcement Monday afternoon. The 2025 Olympic Team Trials for Curling will be held at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
Sioux Falls doesn’t appear to be a likely hotbed for the sport of curling, but Lee says there are curling clubs and enthusiasts throughout the region – including a local club in Sioux Falls.
There will be nine sheets of ice for the trials, which will take place in November of ’25. The event will determine the teams that go to the ’26 Winter games for the men, women and Paralympic curling teams.
