SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Childcare openings are few, and it’s becoming a serious workforce issue in Sioux Falls. City Councilor Rich Merkouris says a committee is gathering information on the problem, and making some startling discoveries in the process.
Merkouris says there have been gains in Childcare Centers in the city over the years, despite recent high-profile closing announcements. He says they’re looking for ways to encourage people to enter the childcare career field.
