SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Law enforcement vehicles from dozens of agencies were part of a large processional taking the body of Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorok to Madison. Prorok was killed while placing a spike strip on Highway 34 near I-29 late Friday afternoon in an attempt to end a high-speed chase that started in Madison. Attorney General Marty Jackley says 40-year old Joseph Hoek of Sioux Falls is charged with First-Degree murder.
Hoek is also charged with vandalism and violating a protection order in Sioux Falls from earlier on Friday. He is being held without bond pending his next court appearance on Friday.
