SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A man is in the hospital after being beaten with a bat and stabbed at 5:00 a.m. yesterday morning.
31-year-old Krystalann Geraldine Rice and 24-year-old Allen Micheal Smith are being charged with robbery, assault and drug possession.
Rice is also being charged with abuse to a minor.
Authorities say the man was in the passenger seat of Rice’s vehicle while she was driving. Rice pulled over to the side of the road claiming there was something wrong with the car. Smith came out of the vehicle’s trunk and attacked the victim then left the scene.
The man was able to give police the names of the two people who attacked him before being taken to the hospital.
Authorities say the man is in stable condition.
