WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — Senator John Thune wants to run out the clock on Tik Tok.
In his weekly column, Senator Thune is calling for the banning of Tik Tok in the United States.
Thune says that, “It’s widely acknowledged that TikTok poses a threat to U.S. national security…and that China has access to its 150 million American users’ data and devices.”
The senator’s RESTRICT Act would allow the secretary of commerce to address technologies that have been determined to threaten U.S. national security and to do so in a timely manner.
