SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The first day of school for Sioux Falls Public Schools is in the books.
Carly Uthe, Multi-Media Specialist, says the morning started with lots of air hugs and elbow taps. Students and teachers were ecstatic to be reunited with one another.
According to Uthe, students easily adapted to the changes that were implemented in buildings including one-way hallways, classroom partitions, and staggered lunchroom seating.
Kids with last names from A to K were back in class today…Students from L to Z return today (Friday).
There have been two confirmed COVID-19 cases at Bishop O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls
So to be safe, about 40 mostly healthy students have been quarantined. They may have had contact with the confirmed cases.
And the coronavirus is on the rise at South Dakota public Universities. There are hundreds of cases.
