SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s a way to get more women into science careers.
Southeast Technical College will host a Women in Science event on campus Monday, March 6.
Nearly 840 eighth-grade girls and teachers are expected to attend.
The Women in Science Conference is designed to promote a positive image and stimulate interest in science and technology careers for young women.
While women account for roughly half of the workforce, they hold less than 25 percent of jobs in these technological areas.
