SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls woman has been identified as the person who died last Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle crash southeast of Tea.
A crash report indicates that a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was northbound on Interstate 29 when the driver lost control while merging.
The vehicle entered the median and rolled.
Michelle Nimick, the 49-year-old driver was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Irvin Loeffler, Jr., the 52-year-old male passenger, sustained serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Road conditions are thought to have been a factor in the crash. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
