SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls City Councilor Greg Neitzert accuses two fellow councilors of attacking him for political gain and personal grudges.
Neitzert says Councilors Janet Brekke and Pat Starr were supporters of his opponent in the city election, and that explains their support of an ethics complaint against him.
He’s written to the ethics board asking that everything in the case is brought out in the open so the public can get the “full truth.”
The complaint involves a trip last year to Texas by Neitzert mostly paid for by the group sponsoring the event.
“The allegation against me is unwarranted and has highlighted the need to clarify the existing vagueness in city
ordinance and align it with state law.”
