SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls man was arrested Monday, accused of first-degree arson. Shortly after midnight Monday morning, a rug was discovered burning outside the back door of a home on the 200 block of South Euclid Avenue. The suspect was seen running away by someone who knew him. A few hours later, first responders were called to the same residence after the victim found the back side of the house on fire. The victim was able to get out. An upstairs neighbor was safely evacuated with assistance from the firefighters. 35-year-old Marion Brooks was arrested for the initial fire. Police believe the two fires could be related.
