SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –Fire officials are investigating an early morning house fire.
Shortly before 3:30 this morning, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was called to a home in the 300 block of north Nesmith Avenue for a report of a structure fire.
Upon their arrival, crews saw visible flames and smoke coming from a second floor window.
The fire was fully extinguished within ten minutes of the fire crews arrival.
The occupants of the home exited safely and received no injuries.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at approximately 3:29am, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 324 N Nesmith Ave.
Metro Communications Dispatch indicated the residents were reporting smoke coming from the second floor of the home. The first arriving fire company confirmed fire on second floor of the home. Crews quickly extinguished the main body of fire and searched the remainder of the home. It was also confirmed that all occupants of the home had exited.
The main body of fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for several hours to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
There were no civilian injuries or firefighter injuries.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, one support vehicle, one command vehicle, 19 Firefighters, 1 Battalion Chief and an Investigator. The fire is currently under investigation and the home did not have a sprinkler system. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by PCEMS, Sioux Falls Police Department, Xcel Energy, MidAmerican Energy, and the Red Cross.
