BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Brookings County Sheriff’s office is investigating a head on collision.
The Sheriff’s office says two vehicles were approaching each other at the top of a hill, one vehicle failed to move to the side when reaching the top.
That is when the vehicles collided.
Two people were taken to the hospital for unknown injuries.
Charges are pending.

Driver #1: Todd Goodfellow, 51, of Bruce, SD
Vehicle #1: 2012 Ford F150, $17,000 damage
Driver: #2: Melissa Flitter, 31, of Bruce, SD
Vehicle: #2: 2009 Yukon Denali, $11,000 damage
Passenger of Vehicle #2: Emil Misar, 85, of Volga, SD
Passenger of Vehicle #2: Megan White, 22, of Harrisburg, SD
On the above date and time, the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, Bruce Fire Department and Brookings Ambulance responded to the above location for a head-on collision between two vehicles. It was found the two vehicles were approaching each other at the top of a hill, one vehicle failed to move to the side when cresting the hill and impacted the front of the other. One vehicle was traveling 35mph and the other was traveling 55mph prior to the collision. Melissa and Emil were transported to the Brookings Hospital by ambulance for unknown injuries. Both Todd and Megan were assisted by family. This incident remains under investigation by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office. Charges are pending.
