SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here’s the latest from Tuesday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS SO FAR IN SHOOTING
Sioux Falls Police have more questions than answers about a shooting.
They believe it happened in an apartment in the 600 block of North Lewis avenue Monday night.
A 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso from the incident got himself to a Sioux Falls hospital.
He had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police then had the SWAT team was nearby as they executed a search warrant on the apartment later last night.
The police have not made any arrests yet.
SFFR PULLS AN UNIDENTIFIED DECEASED MAN FROM THE BIG SIOUX RIVER
Authorities are working to identify a man whose body Sioux Falls Fire Rescued pulled out of the Big Sioux River near Fawick Park early Tuesday morning.
Sioux Falls Police said the man did not appear to have suffered any obvious trauma.
The police don’t know how long the man was in the water or where he may have entered the river.
They’re also not sure how old he is.
A passerby saw the body and called 9-1-1.
The police say there will be an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
