SFPD Bomb Squad called to Empire Mall to investigate suspicious package

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Shortly before 1:40 P.M. Friday afternoon , Sioux Falls Police responded to the Empire Mall for a suspicious package and suspect.

An area of the Mall was evacuated so Officers could investigate further while keeping the public safe.

The SFPD Bomb Squad responded and discovered the package was not an explosive device.
