sIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, an F-16 fighter jet slid off the runway while attempting to land at Joe Foss Field.
According to the Sioux Falls-based 114th Fighter Wing, one of their jets slid off the runway upon returning from a routine training mission.
The crew is safe and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Air National Guard.
