SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is teaming up with the Helpline Center to make it easier for Sioux Falls residents to have working smoke alarms in their homes. Anyone in Sioux Falls can call the Helpline Center at 2-1-1 to request an alarm. They’ll take down information and an inspector at Sioux Falls Fire Rescue will reach out and coordinate installation. There is no charge to Sioux Falls residents for the alarm or for installation. The program is for anyone in Sioux Falls in need of smoke alarms. Priority is given to those who may not be able to afford them.
