BRYANT, S.D. (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fatal fire in rural Hamlin County. The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office says the fire was reported Thursday afternoon about six miles east of Bryant, South Dakota. When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames and part of the roof had caved in. Fire crews battled the blaze for several hours. Once the fire was extinguished and it was deemed safe, responders entered to search the home. It was then they discovered a body inside.
