SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — After weeks of declining then flat numbers of coronavirus cases, South Dakota and the Sioux Falls metro area saw a spike in cases Wednesday) from Tuesday.
That’s according to the New York Times.
South Dakota saw a 33% increase with 24 new cases.
Minnehaha County had a 117% increase to seven new cases.
Lincoln County had a 30% increase with two new cases.
As the state and the metro have been experiencing extremely low covid numbers recently, even a few cases can cause a dramatic jump in the percentage of increase.
