SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are still investigating a fatal stabbing yesterday (Wednesday) that occurred during a drug deal gone bad.
Christopher Michael Wood, 25, is charged with 1st and 2nd-degree murder, 1st-degree manslaughter and other charges.
He is accused of killing Zachary Adam Barta, also 25, from Vermillion.
Three others are also charged in connection with the incident. They are: Shereena Tashina Jones, Gary Lee Bordeau, and Joseph Paul Andrews.
The stabbing occurred around 5 a.m. yesterday near 18th Street and Sycamore Avenue. After a short foot pursuit, police arrest Wood around 3:30 p.m. in the 13th Street and Duluth Avenue area.
Police say there could be more arrests.
