SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure – Louise Avenue
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019, the northbound outside lane of South Louise Avenue will be closed between 41st Street and 43rd Street. This closure will be in place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Xcel Energy will be performing utility work.
This work is anticipated to be completed by 3:00 p.m. on August 13, 2019.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
49th Street and Solberg Avenue Update
Beginning late afternoon on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, traffic on West 49th Street will be reopened from Marion Road to Solberg Avenue.
From I-29 to the east of Solberg Avenue traffic will be shifted to the north two lanes with one lane eastbound and one lane westbound.
Solberg Avenue will be closed to traffic at the 49th Street intersection. Traffic is encouraged to utilize Marion Road to the west and Louise Avenue to the east as alternate routes around the closure.
Concrete repair work will continue on 49th Street from the I-29 structure to 1000 feet east of Solberg Avenue.
This work is anticipated to be completed by late September 2019.
