SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – The weather should cooperate with the Sioux Falls Airshow Saturday and Sunday.
High temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 70’s and low 80’s.
Late Saturday into Sunday is another story. Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the central portions of the Dakotas during the afternoon and then spread east thru the evening and overnight hours. Large hail would be the primary concern initially before strong winds (perhaps very strong) become the primary threat as storms merge into lines. The threat for severe weather continues after dark so be sure to have ways to receive any warnings that may be issued!
The National Weather Service says that there is an enhanced risk for severe weather for the Sioux Falls area.
If you have outdoor activities planned, have a way to receive watches and warnings from the National Weather Service. If thunder roars, head indoors!
