SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Locals ranging from ages 6 to 18 can audition to be Party Children, Small Mice, Snowflakes, Russian Snow Maidens and more iconic roles through Moscow Ballet’s community engagement program.
Auditions begin Friday, September 13, 4 p.m., at the Moscow Ballet Host Dance Studio, Ballaraena Dance Studio: 6901 S. Louise Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57108 and are led by Moscow Ballet ballerina Bogdana Kopiv.
Auditions are free (although there may be a minimal casting and/or rehearsal fee), hand-sewn costumes will be provided, and dress rehearsal is on stage with the Russian company the day of the performance.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker first showing is Thursday, November 21, 7 p.m., at the Washington Pavilion.
