STURGIS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here’s is the latest tally from the Sturgis Rally of crimes and accidents through this morning from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

Fatal Crashes:
UPDATE: Brandon Anderson, 29, of Norman, OK, has been identified as the person who died Monday in a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Rochford Road and Old Salt Road, 12 miles south of Lead: A motorcycle was southbound on North Rochford Road when the driver failed to negotiate a right curve. The motorcycle crossed the center line, slid into the ditch and the driver was thrown from the motorcycle. The driver was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at 3:03 p.m. Monday.
Injury Crashes:
At 7:08 a.m., Wednesday, on South Dakota Highway 40, mile marker 37, four miles east of Keystone: A 2005 Buick LeSabre was eastbound on Highway 40 when the driver tried to apply the brakes to slow down on a steep grade. The driver failed to negotiate the turn, crossed over the centerline, entered the ditch, went up an embankment and struck a boulder, The 35-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt.
At 10:35 a.m., Wednesday, U.S. Highway 16A, mile marker 45, 16 miles east of Custer: A motorcycle was westbound when it left the roadway while leaving a curve. The motorcycle went into the ditch and eventually fell onto the male driver, 63. The driver was not wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries.
At 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, Interstate 90, mile marker 17, three miles east of Spearfish: A motorcycle was eastbound when the motorcycle moved into the left lane and then into the median. The male driver, 39, suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
At 5:02 p.m., Wednesday, U.S. Highway 14A, mile marker 43, two miles east of Deadwood: A motorcycle was westbound when it drove off the road into the north ditch. The male driver, 62, suffered life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
At 2:05 a.m. Thursday, U.S. Highway 14A, mile marker 51, two miles southwest of Sturgis: A Sturgis Police motorcycle crashed while involved in a pursuit with a private motorcycle. The driver of the police motorcycle lost control while taking a curve and went into the north ditch. The male driver, 54, was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
