MINNEAPOLIS, MN, (KELO.com)– Several thousand people protested outside the Target Center on Thursday as Trump spoke inside.
Some protestors in front of the building were throwing rocks and objects containing liquid believed to be urine at some officers.
Officers were forced to use pepper spray on the violent protestors.
Minneapolis police made one arrest and issued one citation during protests outside a campaign rally by President Donald Trump.
Police say the arrest was for damage to property and the citation was for disorderly conduct.
Police Chief Medaria Arradondo says the other protests were mostly peaceful.
Sue Olsen, a Sioux Falls resident that was at the rally, spoke on The Greg Belfrage Show Friday morning. She said the protestors that were inside the building during the rally were “kindly escorted out.”
This was President Trump’s first rally since the impeachment inquiry was announced.
